Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information Astral AI Inc. ("Personhood", "we", "us", or "our") collects when you use givepersonhood.com, our web application, our REST API, and our hosted MCP endpoint (together, the "Service"), and what we do with it. Read it alongside our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your email address and authentication details used to create and secure your account.
  • Content you submit — the text you send to be humanized, the instructions or context you provide, and the writing samples you upload to create custom personas, along with the output we generate for you.
  • Payment information — when you buy credits, our payment processor collects and handles your payment details. We get limited billing information and a record of your purchases and usage, but we never receive or store your full card number.
  • Usage and technical data — information generated when you use the Service, such as request metadata, feature usage, approximate device and browser information, IP address, and log data, used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand usage, as described below.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including generating output from the content you submit;
  • authenticate you and secure your account and API keys;
  • process credit purchases, meter usage, and maintain your balance;
  • communicate with you about your account, transactions, and material changes to the Service;
  • monitor for, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How Your Submitted Content Is Processed

To humanize your text, we send the content you submit to third-party AI providers that run the language models on our behalf, so we can return the rewritten output to you. We use these providers under their commercial terms, and where they offer it we choose settings that keep your submitted content from being used to train their models. We don't use the text you submit to train our own models either.

These providers handle your content only on our behalf and under our direction to run the Service, not for their own purposes and not to train their models, except where their own terms allow.

5. Third-Party Providers

We rely on trusted third-party providers to run the Service, and each one handles data under its own terms and privacy practices. They include cloud hosting and database providers, a payment processor, product-analytics providers, and the AI model providers that generate the humanized output from the text you submit. The specific providers may change as the Service evolves, and we'll update this policy when those changes are material.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used, including through our analytics provider. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though turning them off may affect how some things work.

7. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to run the Service and as described in this policy: with the third-party providers above; with professional advisors; in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Personhood, our users, or others; and with your consent. We do not sell your personal information.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

9. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you do, your account locks immediately, and your personal data — including your profile, custom personas and writing samples, API keys, and generation history — is permanently erased after 30 days. Billing and transaction records are retained as required by law, and once your account is erased we hold them in pseudonymized form, without your name or email. Any unused credits are forfeited and are not refundable.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your credentials and API keys, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

11. International Data Transfers

We and our providers may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live, including the United States. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.

12. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. You can exercise these rights by contacting us using the details below, and we will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

13. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
